DAY 2: Great Rift Valley

Rise early for an energizing breakfast to prepare for our journey through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru.

Kenya’s Great Rift Valley offers some of the most breath-taking natural scenery in a diverse mix of dramatic escarpments, mountain highlands, indigenous forest, gorges, beautiful lakes and savannahs. These valleys, cliffs and lakes have played a key role in bringing together different species in a variety of environments, which spurred on archaeologists’ discoveries of many ancient fossils, gaining fascinating insights into the progression of human evolution.

On our way, we will spend the morning at the Limuru Tea Farm for a tour, sight-seeing and lunch.  An afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park is included to observe the unique wildlife in this region.

DAY 3: Nakura National Park

Embark on an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before breakfast. Lake Nakuru is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a great destination to search for two of the Big 5 that you might struggle to see elsewhere – rhino and leopard.

An early evening game drive will be provided as well to optimize opportunities for rare wildlife sightings, such as the black rhinoceros.

Lake Nakuru National Park was the first destination in Kenya to establish a rhino sanctuary and is currently home to the largest number of black rhinos in the country. The birdlife is another major drawcard for visits to Lake Nakuru, with over 400 species that populate its skies including pelicans, cormorants and flamingos.

DAY 6: Maasai Mara

We will transition from experiencing village life in  Nyanchonori, to a safari adventure in Maasai Mara.  Locally known simply as The Mara, is a large national game reserve in NarokKenya. It is named in honor of the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area, who migrated to the area from the Nile Basin. Their description of the area when looked at from afar: "Mara" means "spotted" in the local Maasai language, due to the many short bushy trees which dot the landscape.

Maasai Mara is one of the wildlife conservation and wilderness areas in Africa, with its populations of lionleopardcheetah and African bush elephant. It also hosts the Great Migration, which secured it as one of the 10 Wonders of the World.

Here we will experience an unforgettable game viewing adventure in the reserve as well as make our home in a Modern Luxury Safari Camp.
