QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN A LUXE GLAMPING TENT?

Enjoy a fusion of glamor and camping, glamping, while authentically experiencing the most awe-inspiring night sky in a spacious canvas tent, with non-camplike amenities, such as a raised bed-frame, memory foam mattress, bedside table, butterfly canvas chairs, plush rugs and southwest textiles. We also provide an aluminum tin bucket with sanitizer, tissues, oversized bath towel and flashlight.
Glamping in luxury while savoring the views from your tent of Cebolla Mesa – it doesn’t get much better than that!

HOW FAR AWAY IS CAMP FROM TAOS?

Our glamping site is located ~25 miles from the Town of Taos and will take 45 minutes to an hour of travel to and from.

WILL I BE ABLE TO CHARGE MY PHONE?

Power outlets are not available once you leave the hotel. There is limited access to charge phones via USB charging cords while commuting in vehicles. We recommend that you bring your charger and coordinate with your Guide. If it is imperative that you charge a device while on tour, consider bringing a back-up battery charger for personal use.

CELL SERVICE

There is limited cell service at camp, be prepared to not have a cell phone signal.
During day trips, we will travel through cell signal coverage zones. However, please tell your relatives, colleagues, and friends that you may be unreachable and plan accordingly.

WHAT ARE THE BATHROOMS LIKE?

Cebolla Mesa is remote and we bring in our own facilities. There will be 2 restrooms that are a short walk from your tent. These restrooms have sinks, flushing toilets, soap, towels, and a mirror.
In addition, there is an outdoor shower (with privacy curtain) available for your use that includes hot water, biodegradable soap, and a separate sink and mirror for washing up before meals and brushing your teeth. If you bring your own soaps or shampoos/conditioners please note that they must be biodegradable per Forest Service regulations. We will provide you with a bath towel for your personal use.

HOW MUCH TIME WILL THERE BE TO ENJOY TAOS?

On day 1 of this excursion the group will explore Taos via the Artisan Walking Tour.
This is the only time allocated in the town of Taos while on with us for shopping/exploring the historic area.

We will return to Taos on Saturday afternoon and you're welcome to explore more Sunday before you depart.

WHAT IS THE ELEVATION WHILE ON OUR RETREAT?

On this trip you will be traveling to the ‘high desert.’ Taos elevation is roughly 7,000 ft. Our Glamping site is stationed at 7,400 ft and on day 3 of this adventure we will be hiking up to 11,040 ft. Don’t worry, we drive much of the distance in a vehicle, however the trail we plan to hike does gradually climb roughly 1,000 ft to our destination. Be sure to drink plenty of water on your trip.

WILL I HAVE DOWNTIME TO ENJOY CAMP AND MY GLAMP TENT?

In today’s fast paced world, we know needed downtime can be. The schedule is designed so that you do have the opportunity to relax and enjoy your surroundings at camp between adventure activities. Or you can choose to take additional hikes, peruse historical texts about the local area brought for you to camp, and more.

Yes, we recommend a small carry-on durable pack/suitcase for Glamping. Any excess luggage can be stored with our valet staff for the duration of your tour.
